Energy Solutions:
In the past the business unit focus on sales & services of Diesel Engines and Diesel Generating sets. The unit represented Volvo Penta Engines from Sweden and FG Wilson generator sets from the United Kingdom. Besides Conventional Diesel Generators, it also offers special generators for railway car, aircraft services and military purpose.
In the year 2000, the business unit introduced locally assembled "Italthai Gen Set" fabricated at the company's Mahachai plant, using Volvo engines and Leroy Somers generators as the main components. These locally fabricated generator sets are now the fastest growing sector of the division.
Some of the genset customers are the BTS sky train mass transit, MRTA underground mass transit, TOT communication system and Suvarnabhumi International Airport.
The new round of World Oil Crisis did bring a great threat to the world economy but also opened a new opportunity for alternative sources of supply for energy. In 2004, the business unit made a decision to expand its business into the new venue. Some of the new businesses include "GE Jenbacher" Gas Engines & Gen Sets, "Italthai" Biodiesel Plant. It's also working closely with its business partners developing other high potential energy products to introduce to the market in the near future. Some of those are NGV related products, natural gas compressors, various renewal energy products. All of these potential products are handled directly by the group's Business Development team.
Transport Technologies:
For over 30 years, Italthai's Transport Technology Division has been one of the major suppliers to Thailand's extensive rail infrastructure. Over the years, the unit has arranged for sales & services to the Royal State Railway of Thailand and to the Private Industrial sector various kinds of rolling stock and machineries for rail transportation [Main line, Mass Transit] as well as to the airport facilities.
The unit sold more than 100 diesel Locomotives manufactured by Alstom Transport of France to the State Railway of Thailand and sold various kinds of rolling stock for using in the Terminal and Runway of the new Bangkok International Air Port. Renowned manufacturers join hand with it besides Alstom are SEMT Pielstick - France, Nippon Sharyo - Japan ,LB Foster - USA, Exel - Finland, etc.
Italthai Industrial sister company, Italian Thai Development, ITD [ www.itd.co.th] has won all the contracts to double track the existing single tracked Thailand rail network. It is said that no Thai Corporate Group knows the railway business better than Italthai does.

Special Products are responsible by business development team of the group. Biodiesel plant and NGV outdoor station are the ones that matching with the current energy crisis and might be our flagships in the future.
