Founded in 1734, the company now belongs to the Taittinger family, which has played an important role in the political and economic life of France for now several generations. Today with a total of 667 acres of vineyards, situated in the best localities in Champagne, Taittinger owns one of the greatest vineyards in Champagne. This ensures a regular supply of high quality grapes for the production of its delicate, finely balanced champagne, which had gained world recognition amongst connoisseurs. Because it is a family business, and one of the few remaining champagne houses to be managed by people who bear its name, top quality and respect for tradition are constant priorities at Taittinger.
